Cabinet Installation · Tampa, FL

Cabinet installation and built-ins in Tampa, FL.

Four cabinet pages below. Pick the one that sounds like yours. A cabinet is only as good as the wall it hangs on and the hands that set it. Tampa walls are rarely flat or square. A box screwed to a bad wall shows it at every door gap. Each page tells you the same three things, including the one most companies leave out. Kitchen cabinets have their own pages: installation, refacing and new doors live with the kitchen. Cabinet painting lives with painting. This hub is everything else.

Every page answers these three
01What actually decides the price
02What we check in the wall before we hang anything
03When we would tell you not to do it

Priced by written scope, never by the hour.

Pick the job that sounds like yours

Four services

If two of them sound like yours, that is normal. A laundry room with a sink is half a vanity job. A built-in with doors below is a cabinet job with a shelf on top. Say what you want it for on the walkthrough. The written scope covers the right one under one price.

Not sure which one is yours? Start here.

Most cabinet jobs outside the kitchen are one of these six cases. Read the line that sounds like your house. The page it points to is the one to open first. Maplex Services is not a general contractor. Electrical, AC and plumbing are done by a licensed general contractor we work with. The plan, the price and the order of work are ours.

01

The bathroom vanity is the job

That is a bathroom vanity installation. The old one out, and the new one set level and sealed. The general contractor we work with reconnects the plumbing. Read the drain section first. Where the drain comes out of the wall decides which vanities fit.

02

The laundry room has nowhere to put anything

That is laundry and garage cabinets. Uppers over the machines, a counter to fold on, a tall cabinet for the broom. In a garage the same page covers cabinets that can live with heat and damp.

03

You want shelves that look like part of the house

That is a custom built-in. Bookshelves beside a fireplace, a media wall, a window seat, a closet that fits the room. Boxes below, open shelves above, trim that ties it to the wall.

04

You want a number before anything else

Read what cabinet installation costs in Tampa, FL. It gives you the 3 questions that put any cabinet job in a range. It shows what a low bid quietly leaves out. It has the market range, with its source. Your number comes after the walkthrough.

05

The cabinets are in the kitchen

Then the kitchen pages are yours. Kitchen cabinet installation for new boxes, refacing for a new skin on good boxes, door replacement for doors alone. Same crew, same written price.

06

The cabinets are fine, the color is not

That is cabinet painting, and it lives with painting. Doors off, sprayed flat, hardware back on. It is the cheapest way to change a room, when the boxes underneath are worth keeping.

Before we hang anything: what we check in the wall.

This is the part no cabinet page prints, and it decides how the job looks in a year. A cabinet is a straight box. A Tampa wall is not. We check four things on the walkthrough before the price is written.

01

Is the wall flat, and is the floor level?

A wall that bows a quarter inch makes a gap you can see at every door. A floor that runs downhill makes a counter that does too. We shim, scribe and level to the real wall, and the scope says so. That is what makes a box read finished.

02

What is behind the drywall?

Uppers hang on studs, not on drywall. We find every stud before the first screw. In a block house we anchor into the block. In a garage or a laundry, the wall is often bare block or old plaster. The anchor changes with it.

03

Where do the water and the power come out?

A vanity has a drain and two supplies in a fixed spot. A laundry has a box for the washer and a dryer vent. An outlet inside a cabinet has to be reachable. We map all of it before we pick a box size, so nothing gets cut on site.

04

Is the room dry and conditioned?

A garage in Tampa is hot and damp for 8 months a year. Particleboard swells there. A cabinet that goes in a garage or a laundry has to be built for it. If not, it will not last. We tell you which ones will, and which ones will not.

The same five steps on every cabinet job above.
